During its special board meeting on 20 December 2021, the PRA Board of Directors approved the appointment of two new Assistant General Managers (AGMs) who will take the helm of the Marketing and Estates Management Office and Legal and Administrative Services.


With more than twenty-six (26) years of experience under her belt, Atty. Karen A. Villamil was confirmed as the new AGM of the Marketing and Estates Management Office. She previously held the position in an acting capacity from 04 November 2019 until her appointment. Atty. Villamil started her career as a Senior Corporate Attorney of PRA in 1995 and rose from the ranks since then. She graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Laws degree (cum laude) from Siliman University and passed the Bar Examinations of the same year.

The PRA Board also approved the appointment of Atty. Johanna Irene Maramba-Gargantiel as the new AGM of the Legal and Administrative Services. Atty. Maramba-Gargantiel has been with PRA since 2005 where she started her career as a Senior Corporate Attorney. Before her appointment, Atty. Maramba-Gargantiel served as the Acting AGM of the same office since 28 December 2020. She graduated from the University of Santo Tomas and passed the Bar Examinations in 2004.

Both seasoned AGMs are expected to sustain the delivery of public service to PRA’s mandates and objectives.
