This is with reference to the article “COA scolds PRA for P1/year rent for its properties” published by The Philippine Star last October 1, 2019. To date, PRA has been negotiating with the concerned government instrumentalities to address the concerns raised by the Commission on Audit (COA). PRA has been likewise exerting efforts to implement the constitutional body’s recommendations. In fact, the COA had noted that PRA had partially implemented its recommendations. Negotiations with the concerned local government units (LGUs) are being made for the acquisition of the subject properties.

PLDT subscribers in Metro Manila and some nearby provinces will have eight-digit landline numbers starting October 6, 2019 in compliance with the directive of the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) in its memorandum no. 10–10–2017 which orders all telecoms providers in the Metro Manila area to migrate all their customers to eight-digit telephone numbers “to address the insufficient number of assignable exchange codes.”
In this regard, PRA landline numbers may become unreachable for a short period on October 5, 2019 (Saturday) while PLDT reconfigures their telephone network. Once completed, follow the procedure below to call any PLDT landline numbers with area code "02":
Dial 0 + Area Code (2) + 8 digits landline number
Example: To call the trunkline of PRA, Dial 02-8459-5000 instead of 02-459-5000

Cavitex C5 Link Portion Opens

Merville, Pasay – Traffic build-up in the major thoroughfares of Metro Manila decongests as Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA) and its joint venture partner Cavitex Infrastructure Corporation (CIC), a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Toll Corporation (MPTC), opened to motorists on July 23, 2019 a segment of its C5 South Link Expressway, a 2.2-kilometer flyover traversing Taguig and Paranaque. The C5 South Link expressway of the Manila-Cavite Toll Expressway Project (MCTEP) consists of 7.7 km road that connects CAVITEX to the C5 Road linking Cavite, Las Pinas and Paranaque with Taguig, Pasig and all the way to Quezon City passing over the South Luzon Expressway.
CertIficates of Land Allocation (CELA) distributed to beneficiaries of Brgy. Don Galo

One hundred twenty-three (123) beneficiaries from Barangay Don Galo in Parañaque City finally received their Certificates of Land Allocation (CELA) from House Speaker Gloria Macapagal Arroyo during the awarding ceremony last April 15, 2019. Presidential Proclamation No. 964 series of 2005 declared the 2.3 hectares of land owned by Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA) and the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) in the said barangay as socialized housing site open for disposition to qualified beneficiaries pursuant to the provisions of Republic Act no. 7279, otherwise known as the Urban Development and Housing Act of 1992 and Executive Order no. 131 dated October 1, 2002. Disposition and administration of the lots to eligible beneficiaries shall be under the “Direct Award Scheme” of the National Housing Authority (NHA).
