Cavitex, PRA extend services to people thru corporate initiatives

BACOOR CITY, Cavite Jun 23 (PIA) -- The Cavitex Infrastructure Corporation (CIC) and joint partner Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA) coordinated its efforts to extend assistance to their countrymen especially during COVID-19 pandemic.
With the aim to provide continuous, smooth passage to fast-track emergency response, a complimentary passage on the toll roads was extended to medical practitioners and to the Department of Transportation (DoTr) buses used to transport healthcare workers.
Likewise, RFID stickers were given to ambulances and other emergency vehicles of the local government units and host barangays along the expressways.

As Metro Manila is under General Community Quarantine, the Philippine Reclamation Authority is adopting Alternative Work Arrangements pursuant to Civil Service Commission Memorandum Circular No. 10, series of 2020. In this regard, a skeleton workforce is operating within PRA office premises while the rest of the personnel are working from their respective homes.
Please also be informed that pursuant to Legaspi Towers 200 Building Interim Rules and Regulations, only guests with urgent concerns and transactions that cannot be done online shall be allowed entry to the building and to the offices located therein. Document couriers and messengers can only be accommodated at the building lobby.

For transmittal of documents, kindly e-mail or call us to confirm if e-mailing the documents would suffice. If not, please enclose the documents in a plastic envelope for easy disinfection. Bulky documents must be placed in closed plastic containers. The papers shall then undergo UV light disinfection upon delivery to PRA office. Upon arrival at the building, please submit to the COVID-19 screening procedures of Legaspi Towers 200 Building Administration and inform the lobby guard that you are delivering documents for PRA. The guard shall then call the PRA Records Office and a PRA records personnel shall proceed to the lobby and personally receive your documents. Please wait for the PRA personnel and do not leave the documents to the lobby guard.

PRA welcomes Philippine Navy at PEA TC compound

Responding to the call of bayanihan to defeat the COVID-19 pandemic, the PRA accommodates the Philippine Navy at its PEA Tollway Corporation (PEA TC) compound in the city of Parañaque. The four squad tents of the Philippine Navy’s Naval Task Force 83 are housed at the covered court of the said compound near CAVITEX Parañaque toll plaza since May 8, 2020. As of this writing, the accommodation is expected to be until May 31, 2020.
The Naval Task Force 83 has been conducting security operations in the borders of the National Capital Region and the Province of Cavite to support the checkpoint operations of the Philippine National Police. This is to effectively implement the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) being imposed over the entire Luzon since March 17, 2020. Selected areas in Visayas and Mindanao were also placed under ECQ to control the spread of the pandemic. The Philippine government has been implementing ECQ and stringent social distancing measures to manage the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the country.
